Hello and welcome to another episode of Searching Standard, where each and every week I look for new, innovative decks for you to play in Standard. This week, I'm looking at a deck that was recently featured on the YouTube channel of LittleDarkFury. It features Togekiss SSP 72, who makes it possible to win games in fewer turns. Let's get started by taking a look at the deck list.

Togekiss DeckLittleDarkFury Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex 141 Fezandipiti ex 38 Froakie 56 Greninja ex 106 Origin Forme Palkia V 39 Origin Forme Palkia VSTAR 40 Radiant Greninja 46 Squawkabilly ex 75 Togekiss 72 Togepi 55 Boss’s Orders 172 Buddy-Buddy Poffin 144 Earthen Vessel 163 Hisuian Heavy Ball 146 Iono 80 Irida 147 Lost Vacuum 162 Nest Ball 84 Night Stretcher 61 PokéStop 68 Prime Catcher 157 Professor's Research 87 Rare Candy 191 Switch 194 Ultra Ball 91 Basic Water Energy

Thanks to the Wonder Kiss Ability, whenever your opponent's Active Pokemon is Knocked Out, you'll have the chance to take an extra Prize card. This effect happens whether your opponent's Active Pokemon is Knocked Out from damage from an attack, by Poison or Burn damage, or by some other effect. All you need is a little luck and you can take one extra Prize card.

Origin Forme Palkia VSTAR ASR 40 is the main attacker for this deck. It's Star Portal Ability can quickly power up your team making it possible to attack for a lot of damage right away. Origin Forme Palkia VSTAR ASR 40's Subspace Swell attack only requires two Energy to use, but it can deal up to 260 damage against most opponents.

Greninja ex TWM 106 is a great backup attacker for this deck. Its Shinobi Blade attack deals a whopping 170 damage for just a single Energy, plus it allows you to search your deck for any card you're in need of. You won't want to use its Mirage Barrage attack too often, but if it allows you to win the game, feel free. If you target your opponent's Active Pokemon with the damage this attack does, you can still possibly take an extra Prize card with Togekiss SSP 72's Wonder Kiss Ability.

Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex TWM 141 is another backup attacker for this deck. If your opponent has taken multiple Prize cards, you can potentially use the Blood Moon attack for free, with help from its Seasoned Skill Ability.

The remaining Pokemon in this deck are all included for the use of their Abilities. If you're lucky, you'll draw Squawkabilly ex PAF 75 in your starting hand. This will allow you to use its Squawk and Seize Ability to draw some additional cards during your first turn of the game. Radiant Greninja ASR 46 can be used as a backup attacker if needed, but you'll most likely be using its Concealed Cards Ability to draw extra cards. With Fezandipiti ex SFA 38's Flip the Script Ability, you get the chance to recover following a turn where your Pokemon was Knocked Out. The three cards you draw can help you regain some of your lost momentum.

Finding the Pokemon you need right away is very important for this deck. Buddy-Buddy Poffin TEF 144 can help you find either Togepi ASR 55 or Froakie OBF 56. Nest Ball PAF 84 can help you find any Basic Pokemon you need, but you'll most likely want to search for a copy of Origin Forme Palkia V ASR 39 if you don't already have one. Then you can use Ultra Ball PAF 91 to find a copy of Origin Forme Palkia VSTAR ASR 40.

As an additional way to help you find the Pokemon you need more easily, you can play Irida ASR 147. She lets you search your deck for a Water-Type Pokemon and an Item card to put into your hand. This can allow you to find both Origin Forme Palkia V ASR 39 and Origin Forme Palkia VSTAR ASR 40 easily. PokéStop PGO 68 is the Stadium of choice for this deck, and using it can help you find the Poke Balls or Rare Candy SVI 191 you need to get your team set up as quickly as possible. There's also a single copy of Hisuian Heavy Ball ASR 146 that you can play to ensure that none of your important Pokemon are trapped within your Prize cards.

To make the most of your attacks, you can play either Boss’s Orders PAL 172 or Prime Catcher TEF 157 to be sure to attack a Pokemon you can Knock Out in a signle attack. There's a copy of Switch SVI 194 included in this deck as a means of moving a powered up attacker to your Active Spot in case your opponent moves a Pokemon to your Active Spot that isn't an ideal attacker.

Both Earthen Vessel PAR 163 and Night Stretcher SFA 61 can help you get much needed Energy into your hand. Earthen Vessel PAR 163 finds Energy from your deck, while Night Stretcher SFA 61 finds it in your discard pile. Night Stretcher SFA 61 can also put a Pokemon from your discard pile into your hand instead, if needed.

Professor's Research PAF 87 allows you to draw a new hand of seven cards, but playing it requires you to discard your current hand first. Iono PAF 80 also offers you the potential of drawing a new hand, but, more importantly, it resets your opponent's hand. If they've taken multiple Prize cards, resetting their hand can often slow down their momentum, giving you the chance to catch up. Finally, there's a single copy of Lost Vacuum LOR 162 in this deck. It's a measure of defense against a deck that is playing a Stadium or Pokemon Tool that causes you grief during the game.

Wrapping Up

If you're not adverse to playing games where luck can be a factor, you should give this deck a try. While Origin Forme Palkia VSTAR ASR 40 has everything that's needed to win games by simply attacking, taking extra Prize cards with Togekiss SSP 72's Wonder Kiss Ability can end games unexpectedly.

What do you think of this deck? Do you have any suggestions for improvements? Let me know by leaving a comment below. And be sure to join me here again next week as I continue my search for innovative decks in the Pokemon TCG. I'll see you then!
