Hello and welcome to another episode of Searching Standard, where each and every week I look for new, innovative decks for you to play in Standard. This week, I'm looking at a deck that was recently featured on the YouTube channel of LittleDarkFury. It features Copperajah ex PAL 150 alongside his little buddy, 2 Munkidori TWM 95. Let's get started by taking a look at the deck list.

Copperajah exLittleDarkFury Beldum 113 Metang 114 Beldum 117 Copperajah ex 150 Munkidori 95 Cufant 149 Earthen Vessel 163 Ultra Ball 196 Super Rod 188 Iono 185 Hyper Aroma 152 Buddy-Buddy Poffin 144 Pokégear 3.0 186 Boss's Orders 172 Professor's Research 190 Nest Ball 181 Artazon 171 Metal Energy Darkness Energy

Copperajah ex PAL 150 is quite a beast, having 300 HP and the Bronze Body Ability which allows it to take 30 less damage from your opponent's attacks. It also has a decent attack, Nosequake, which will deal 260 damage to your opponent's Active Pokemon and an additional 30 damage to each of your Benched Pokemon. It's for that reason that you might not want to have a Bench full of Pokemon, unless you happen to have a copy or two of our next Pokemon...

By using Munkidori TWM 95's Adrena-Brain Ability, you can move up to 3 damage counters from one of your Pokemon to one of your opponent's Pokemon, provided that you have a Darkness Energy attached to Munkidori TWM 95. This is a great way of countering that damage done to your Benched Pokemon by Copperajah ex PAL 150's Nosequake attack.

Metang TEF 114's Metal Maker Ability acts as an Energy accelerator for this deck. By using this Ability, you'll be able to attach up to four extra Basic Metal Energy each turn. While you're much more likely to attach one or two extra Energy, that can be enough to fully power up Copperajah ex PAL 150 right away.

In order to find the Pokemon you need for success, this deck has a variety of cards that allow you to search through your deck. Hyper Aroma TWM 152 allows you to find up to 3 Stage 1 Pokemon to put into your hand. This is a great way of finding all of your Copperajah ex PAL 150. Ultra Ball SVI 196 can be used to find any Pokemon from your deck, but using it will require you to discard two other cards from your hand.

This batch of cards also help you find Pokemon, but these are all only able to find Basic Pokemon from your deck. Buddy-Buddy Poffin TEF 144 can only be used to find Beldum TEF 113 or Beldum SIT 117, due to it being limited to only finding Basic Pokemon with 70 HP or less. Both Nest Ball SVI 181 and Artazon PAL 171 can be used to search for any of the Basic Pokemon in this deck (since none of them have a Rule Box), but remember that your opponent will also be able to utilize Artazon PAL 171 to find their own Basic Pokemon.

If you're having trouble attaching enough Energy with Metang TEF 114's Metal Maker Ability, you can use Earthen Vessel PAR 163 to search for up to two Basic Energy cards. You'll likely want to search for Darkness Energy so that you can use Munkidori TWM 95's Adrena-Brain Ability, but there might be times you want to find Metal Energy as well. A full playset of Super Rod PAL 188 are included in this deck to help you shuffle back Energy and Pokemon that have gone to your discard pile, allowing them to potentially be played again.

This next batch of cards are all of the Supporter cards found within this deck. Professor's Research SVI 190 offers the most amount of card drawing available in Standard. You'll be able to draw seven new cards, but you'll have to discard your current hand when you play Professor's Research SVI 190. Iono PAL 185 can also offer you some significant card drawing, but her true purpose is to slow down your opponent if they get ahead of you in taking Prize cards. Finally, when you play Boss's Orders PAL 172, you'll get to say which of your opponent's Pokemon you're attacking, by moving it to their Active Spot. You can choose a Pokemon you're sure to Knock Out, or one that your opponent will need to spend time and resources on to get it ready to attack.

The final card in this deck is Pokégear 3.0 SVI 186. As you've just seen, there are numerous terrific Supporter cards in this deck, and Pokégear 3.0 SVI 186 can be used to help find them more easily. You won't have to rely on drawing one of them as your card draw per turn.

Wrapping Up

The team of Copperajah ex PAL 150 and Munkidori TWM 95 seem like they're made for each other. By using Munkidori TWM 95's Adrena-Brain Ability, you reduce the penalty that attacking with Copperajah ex PAL 150's Nosequake attack provides. This symbiotic relationship is what makes playing this deck so much fun!

What do you think of this deck? Do you have any suggestions for improvements? Let me know by leaving a comment below. And be sure to join me here again next week as I continue my search for innovative decks in the Pokemon TCG. I'll see you then!
