What is coming up!
Grand Prix Vancouver and Grand Prix Brisbane
The Grand Prix Circuit rolls into Canada and Australia this weekend spotlighting the Modern format. This will be the first premier level tournament after the most recent bannings and printing of Aether Revolt. These tournaments will help dictate the Modern format going forward.
Starcity Games Open Baltimore
This will be the first Team Constructed Open on the SCG circuit and should be a fun tournament to watch and play in. 3 man teams will battle in Standard-Modern-Legacy to determine the best squad!
Kasucon
"Katsucon is an annual 3-day fan convention held in the D.C. metro area for multicultural enthusiasts and entertainment. Katsucon is produced by Katsucon Entertainment, Inc. (KEI), an educational organization dedicated to bringing information about Japanese animation, society, and traditional and popular culture to fans everywhere." - http://www.katsucon.org
If you're an anime or manga fan, a fan of table top gaming, video gaming, cosplay, modeling or just a fan of Geek culture in general then I'd recommend taking a look at Kasucon. The convention will take place Feburary 17th-19th at the Gaylord National Hotel & Convention Center on the Potomac River in Maryland.
Kiwetin - Ending on Kickstarter Soon!
Check it out on Kickstarter here.
Take on the role of spirits racing to catch the scared flower in the forest of Kiwetin. Use the gentle winds to drift between branches but beware for the winds may not always be in your favor.
Fast to play, simple to learn, and beautiful to look at, Kiwetin looks like it should be fun for everyone.
What you missed!
Grand Prix Pittsburgh
Ryan Hare took down the 1,300 player Standard Grand Prix in a snowy Pittsburgh this weekend. His weapon of choice, Black-Green Constrictor, headlined the tournament and Top 8. Between its 5 copies in Top 8 and being the most played deck in the tournament, BG Constrictor has emerged as the best deck this week in Standard.
