Find the Right Fit for Your Collection

Not every collection needs the same TCG storage box. If you're carrying a single deck to your local game night, a compact deck box built for 60 to 100 sleeved cards keeps things light and easy to grab. Building a home base for your whole collection is a different job entirely, and that's where our larger trading card storage options come in, with sizes rated for 200, 500, or 1,000+ cards.

Dividers help you split a bigger box into sections by set, color, or deck, and token storage keeps dice, counters, and extra pieces from rattling around loose. Whether you're a casual player or a serious collector, we have options available for everyone.

Why Shop Storage at Flipside Gaming?

Flipside Gaming stocks genuine TCG storage boxes from the brands players actually trust, never knockoffs, so you're not gambling on a box that cracks or a lid that won't stay shut. We keep pricing competitive and ship anywhere in the US, including free shipping on qualifying orders.

Storage is just one piece of building out your setup. Once your cards are organized, check out our card sleeves to protect them individually, or browse playmats and dice to round out your next game night. Whatever you're playing, Magic, Pokémon, Lorcana, or beyond, we've got the accessories to back it up.

FAQ

What's the difference between a deck box and a trading card storage box?

A deck box is built to carry one assembled deck, usually 60 to 100 sleeved cards, to and from game night. It's compact enough to toss in a bag. A trading card storage box is built for volume, holding anywhere from a couple hundred to well over 1,000 cards for the parts of your collection that stay at home. Most players end up using both: a deck box for what they're actively playing, and a larger storage box for everything else.

What size TCG storage box do I need?

It depends on how many cards you're storing and whether they're sleeved. A single-sleeved card takes up more room than a raw one, and double-sleeved cards take up the most, so a box rated for 400 cards might only hold 300 to 350 once everything's sleeved. As a general rule, count your collection, add extra sleeve room, and round up to the next size rather than buying exactly to capacity. It's easier to grow into a bigger box than to outgrow a small one in a month.

Do I need to sleeve my cards before putting them in storage?

Sleeving first is worth it even for cards headed into long-term storage. A basic sleeve protects against dust, fingerprints, and the kind of edge wear that happens just from cards shifting around in a box over time. It also keeps the storage box itself cleaner, since you won't be pulling out cards that have picked up residue over the years. If a card matters enough to keep, it's worth the extra minute to sleeve it before it goes in the box.

What's the best way to organize a large TCG collection?

For a collection that's outgrown a single box, dividers are the easiest fix. Sorting by set, color, or deck instead of dumping everything into one bin makes it possible to actually find a card again instead of digging through a thousand cards blind. Larger collectors often split things further, using bulk trading card storage for the cards they're not actively playing and keeping active decks in their own dedicated deck boxes. A little TCG organization upfront saves a lot of digging later.
