Hello and welcome to another episode of Searching Standard, where each and every week I look for new, innovative decks for you to play in Standard. This week, I'm looking at a deck that was recently featured on the YouTube channel of LittleDarkFury. It features Drifblim SCR 61, which is capable of dealing a massive amount of damage when it attacks. Let's get started by taking a look at the deck list.

Everyone Explode NowLittleDarkFury Bibarel 121 Bidoof 111 Drifblim 61 Drifloon 89 Fezandipiti ex 38 Manaphy 41 Munkidori 95 Relicanth 84 Artazon 171 Arven 166 Boss’s Orders 172 Buddy-Buddy Poffin 144 Counter Catcher 160 Earthen Vessel 163 Exp. Share 174 Hisuian Heavy Ball 146 Iono 185 Lana's Aid 155 Nest Ball 181 Neutralization Zone 60 Night Stretcher 61 Professor's Research 190 Super Rod 188 Switch 194 Technical Machine: Devolution 177 Ultra Ball 196 Darkness Energy 97 Psychic Energy 95

By using Drifblim SCR 61's Everyone Explode Now attack, you'll deal 50 damage to your opponent's active Pokemon for each Drifblim and Drifloon you have in play. If you manage to get Relicanth TEF 84 onto your Bench, its Memory Dive Ability will allow Drifblim SCR 61 to use the attacks of Drifloon SVI 89. Since Everyone Explode Now deals 30 damage to each of your Drifblim and Drifloon, you can use the Balloon Blast attack to deal 30 damage for each damage counter on Drifblim SCR 61. With some luck, you can deal up to 360 damage this way.

In order to draw extra cards, this deck utilizes a pair of Abilities. First is Bibarel BRS 121's Industrious Incisors Ability, which can refill your hand to five cards. There's also Fezandipiti ex SFA 38's Flip the Script Ability, which will let you draw three cards on the turn after one of your Pokemon was Knocked Out.

Munkidori TWM 95's Adrena-Brain Ability can be very useful in keeping your Pokemon in the game and in Knocking Out one of your opponent's Pokemon. Manaphy BRS 41 has the Wave Veil Ability, which will help ensure that your Benched Pokemon are safe from taking any damage from your opponent's attacks.

Next, we have a standard selection of Items that are found in most decks to help find the Pokemon you need. Buddy-Buddy Poffin TEF 144 will find two Basic Pokemon with 70 HP or less to put onto your Bench. Nest Ball SVI 181 can find any Basic Pokemon to put onto your Bench. Finally, Ultra Ball SVI 196 can search for any Pokemon to put into your hand, but requires you to discard two other cards in order to play it.

Continuing the ways you can search your deck for a Pokemon to put into play is Artazon PAL 171. While this Stadium is in play, you can search for any Basic Pokemon that doesn't have a Rule Box to put onto your Bench. The other Stadium in this deck is Neutralization Zone SFA 60, which can help your Pokemon to not take damage. While the effect is situational, it can be quite effective against certain decks.

Next, we come to a pair of cards that are useful for searching your deck for specific things. Arven SVI 166 helps you find an Item and a Pokemon Tool. While there's only a couple of Pokemon Tools in this deck, there are a lot of useful Items you can find. Earthen Vessel PAR 163 helps you find a pair of Basic Energy to put into your hand, which can help allow you to attack or move damage from your Pokemon to your opponent's Pokemon.

By using the cards in this batch, you'll be able to reuse things that have gone to your discard pile. Lana's Aid TWM 155 lets you put up to three Pokemon without a Rule Box or Basic Energy cards into your hand. Night Stretcher SFA 61 lets you put either a Basic Energy or any one Pokemon from your discard pile into your hand. Finally, Super Rod PAL 188 allows you to shuffle up to three Basic Energy or Pokemon into your deck.

Being able to choose which of your opponent's Pokemon to attack can be very useful. Both Boss’s Orders PAL 172 and Counter Catcher PAR 160 give you that option. They allow you to choose a Pokemon you're sure to Knock Out, ensuring you draw a Prize card. The single copy of Switch SVI 194 is included to provide you with some mobility, allowing you to bring a fully powered Pokemon from your Bench to your Active Spot.

Since every deck needs to maximize the effectiveness of the Energy included in the deck, you can attach Exp. Share SVI 174 to one of your Benched Pokemon. This will ensure that some of the Energy you've attached to your Active Pokemon will remain in play. Hisuian Heavy Ball ASR 146 allows you to search your Prize cards for a Basic Pokemon that you can put into your hand, replacing that card with Hisuian Heavy Ball ASR 146. This ensures that your singleton Pokemon, like Fezandipiti ex SFA 38 and Relicanth TEF 84 aren't locked away. Technical Machine: Devolution PAR 177 offers you the means of quickly defeating decks that rely on evolving their Pokemon via the use of Rare Candy.

The final pair of Trainer cards are included as additional ways to draw extra cards. Professor's Research SVI 190 allows you to draw seven cards, but it requires you to discard your current hand when you play it. Make sure to play everything you need to before playing Professor's Research SVI 190. Iono PAL 185 can also be used to draw a new hand of cards, but it comes with the added benefit of slowing down your opponent, especially if they only have a couple of Prize cards remaining.

Wrapping Up

By utilizing the damage that Drifblim SCR 61's Everyone Explode Now attack deals to your own Pokemon, you can set up a situation where you'll be able to attack with Drifloon SVI 89's Balloon Blast attack (with the help of Relicanth TEF 84's Memory Dive Ability) to take out any Pokemon.
